Administrative law cases in Turkey are the actions filed in disputes arising from the acts and actions of the administration; under Article 2 of the Administrative Procedure Law No. 2577 (İYUK), the cases heard in the administrative jurisdiction are actions for annulment, full remedy actions and actions arising from administrative contracts, while actions for the determination of the expropriation price and actions for occupation without expropriation based on de facto occupation are heard in the civil jurisdiction, before the Civil Court of First Instance (Asliye Hukuk Mahkemesi). This guide summarizes the main types of cases and transactions in administrative law by subject group and links to our detailed articles; articles marked "(in Turkish)" are currently available only in Turkish.

Which Types of Actions Arise in the Expropriation Process?
In the expropriation process, if no agreement is reached, the administration files an action for the determination of the expropriation price and for registration. Is There a Separate Title of Administrative Law Lawyer?
No. Administrative law lawyer or administrative case lawyer are the names used for an attorney who handles actions for annulment and full remedy actions against administrative acts; they are not a separate title.
Any attorney registered with a bar association has authority to represent clients before the administrative and tax courts, before the Council of State (Danıştay) and in administrative applications; Article 35 of the Attorneyship Law No. 1136 does not divide this authority by area of law. The same applies to actions filed against the appointment, disciplinary and personnel acts concerning public officials. Searches such as "administrative law lawyer in Ankara", "civil servant lawyer in Ankara" or "the best administrative case lawyer" do not point to a title or a rank but to attorneys who handle administrative cases.
